1. Select your formal wear in person. Seeing is believing when selecting your tuxedo. Abes Formal Wear is the Manhattan areas only most stocking tuxedo shop. Come in and try them on. Only then can you know for sure that a particular tuxedo is right for you.

2. Get the right tuxedo for your wedding. Style and color of your formal wear will depend on the bride and bridesmaids dress color and style, the season and time of day, your build and coloring and the tastes of you and your bride. Let Abes knowledgeable and experienced staff help you make the best choice.

3. Have your measurements taken by a formal wear specialist. Members of the wedding party who live outside of the Tri-State area should have their measurements taken professionally at a formal wear store. The measurements can be emailed to Abes Formal Wear by clicking here.

4. Measure in advance. Measurements should ideally be received 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding date to ensure the availability of your tuxedos. Double-check to see if we have received everyones measurements.

5. Get the shoes. Do not cut corners here. Shoes maintain a consistent and formal appearance for you and your groomsmen.

6. Check accessories at pickup time. Items such as vests, cummerbunds, ties, pocket squares, suspenders, studs and cuff links all contribute to the look of the bridal party. Make sure you have right quantity and color when you pick up your order.

7. Try on your tuxedo before the wedding day. It is important that all your men try on their tuxedos before the day of the wedding. That way we can make any needed adjustments or replacements before the wedding day.
